In my own experience evaluating various brokers, I've found it critical to check the exact asset coverage before committing funds, particularly with newer platforms like uSMART Group. Based on my careful review of the trading instruments available through uSMART Group, it appears they do not currently offer commodities trading such as Gold (XAU/USD) or Crude Oil. Their focus is on stocks (US, Singapore, and Hong Kong), fractional shares, US options, ETFs, REITs, ADRs, select futures, and forex. Commodities, indices, cryptocurrencies, and bonds are notably absent from their lineup. For someone like me who sometimes values direct access to major commodities as part of a diversified trading approach, this is quite limiting. The absence of gold and crude oil means you won’t be able to express views or hedge positions in those popular markets within the uSMART environment. While their MAS regulation and separation of client funds are reassuring, the narrow range of tradable instruments does not meet every trader’s needs. If active exposure to commodities is a requirement for you, I would suggest confirming with customer support for any updates, but as it stands now, I do not see XAU/USD or oil products available for trading here.
