Questrade’s approach in this area offers flexibility and peace of mind; I don’t have to worry about hidden charges quietly eroding my capital simply because I’m not executing trades every month. In my trading routine, there have been times when life demanded my attention elsewhere; it was reassuring to know that my account balance would remain intact during those pauses. I always recommend verifying this on their official schedules in case policies change, but as of my last review, Questrade didn’t penalize clients for account inactivity regardless of account type, whether you’re using their TFSA, RRSP, or regular margin trading accounts. This is an important distinction compared to some other brokers who reduce your funds just for staying on the sidelines. Ultimately, for me, this is a minor yet real advantage that supports diverse trading habits and life circumstances without the risk of unnecessary fees.
