This perfunctory demo trading feature is worse than not having it. "Occasional invalidation of demo trading orders" is truly detrimental to newbies! I used the demo to test a "breakout strategy" and set a buy price of 1950 for gold. The price reached, but the trade didn't execute. The system displayed "Order Cancelled," even though I hadn't executed anything.
