In my experience evaluating brokers for trading, it's crucial to understand exactly how commissions and costs are structured, especially if you’re considering ECN or raw spread accounts. When I reviewed Apex Trader Funding, I found that they currently do not offer traditional ECN or raw spread accounts typically found with forex brokers. In fact, the platform focuses primarily on futures and stocks, rather than forex instruments, and standard details on spreads or per-lot commissions are notably absent from their publicly available information. This lack of transparency is something I can't overlook, as clear fee disclosures are fundamental for making informed, risk-sensitive decisions. Furthermore, Apex Trader Funding is not regulated by any recognized financial authority, which introduces additional risks. From my perspective, trading with an unregulated entity means that structures around commissions and account types may not meet the stringent standards demanded by reputable industry bodies, and recourse in the event of disputes could be limited or unavailable. Without regulatory oversight or established product standards, I personally find it challenging to trust that commissions—if any—would be handled with the fairness or disclosure I require for my own trading. If commission costs or spread structures are important for your trading strategy, my advice is to exercise caution and consider alternatives where fee transparency and oversight are guaranteed.
