In my experience reviewing brokers, I always make investigating leverage offerings a priority, as it directly impacts risk and position sizing. With SOCIETE GENERALE, however, I found a notable lack of transparency regarding leverage. The available information simply does not specify any concrete leverage figures for major forex pairs or for other asset classes. This uncertainty presents a significant hurdle for anyone seeking to understand the broker’s risk profile or suitability for active forex trading. Additionally, the absence of details on leverage structures—whether for currencies, equities, or derivatives—suggests either very limited retail trading capability, or a focus more on institutional services where leverage terms are set case-by-case. For me, the combination of no disclosed leverage information and the broker’s unregulated status significantly increases operational risk. Leverage is a double-edged sword and without official numbers or clear policies published, it becomes impossible for me to assess margin requirements, compare offerings, or plan trades responsibly. Fundamentally, I believe that a lack of transparency on something as vital as leverage is a red flag, and I personally would never trade with a broker unless leverage conditions are fully and explicitly communicated upfront for all asset classes.
