From my experience and after closely reviewing Moomoo’s offering, I found that their fee structure differs from the traditional commission-per-lot model one often sees with ECN or raw spread forex accounts. With Moomoo, specifically for US stocks, ETFs, and fractional shares, there is no commission charged per lot or per trade in the classic sense—instead, a fixed platform fee of $0.99 per order applies. Other major markets like Singapore or Hong Kong also use a low-percentage approach (e.g., 0.03% of the transaction amount) with minimum order fees, rather than a strict commission per lot. For me, this was a notable shift from standard forex broker models, where trading forex instruments often means a separate commission tied directly to the lot size. Moomoo’s approach is more streamlined and predictable, which can simplify planning one’s trading costs, but it’s vital to note that these fees revolve mostly around stock and ETF transactions, not raw-spread forex trading as in ECN accounts. So if you are used to the granularity and transparency of per-lot commissions for raw forex spreads, you will not find an exactly equivalent structure here. I urge fellow traders to carefully review all published fees on the official platform, since structures can change and hidden costs may arise, especially with international transfers or currency exchanges. Ultimately, my own conservative judgement is to never assume the fee schedule mirrors that of classic ECN accounts, and to factor cost differences into your risk management.
