As an experienced trader, I always pay close attention to how a broker handles spreads since this directly impacts trading costs and risk management, especially during volatile market conditions. With FLATTRADE, I couldn’t find any explicit mention of whether their spreads are fixed or variable. What’s notable is their use of proprietary trading platforms, rather than the widely recognized MT4 or MT5, which usually offer robust transparency regarding spread types and behavior. The absence of details on their spread structure makes it challenging to make informed projections about trading costs under normal or volatile market conditions. In my own practice, whenever a broker is unregulated and information about spread mechanics is unclear, I proceed with substantial caution. During periods of heightened market volatility—such as major economic announcements or geopolitical events—it is standard for spreads to widen, especially with brokers using variable spread models. Lacking regulation, FLATTRADE is under no formal oversight to enforce fair dealing practices or prevent unreasonable widening, creating additional risk for traders like myself. Until a broker can clearly document how its spreads behave during news events and under regular trading, I personally would not take that chance with real funds, particularly considering the elevated risks associated with unregulated entities.
