Having traded with and researched many brokers, I always pay close attention to spreads, especially when trading high-volume pairs like EUR/USD. On Velocity Trade, my experience—and the limited user feedback available—suggests that the spread for EUR/USD is notably wider than what I’ve come to expect across the industry. Specifically, I encountered mention of a 3 pip spread for EUR/USD, which is significantly above the industry average of approximately 1.5 pips for this pair. This wider spread directly impacts trading costs and can make short-term strategies less viable, which is a crucial consideration for active traders like myself. For me, such a spread stands out as a drawback and suggests that anyone considering Velocity Trade should factor this into their cost analysis. While the broker is regulated and has been in the industry for over 15 years, this pricing makes me cautious, especially since the cost of trading is a key element determining long-term profitability. It’s also worth noting that some users have reported difficulties finding transparent fee details, further emphasizing the need for careful due diligence before making any financial commitment. In my view, a consistently high spread is a fundamental factor to weigh alongside regulation and platform stability.
