Speaking from my experience as a forex trader, when evaluating TD as a platform for forex trading, the most critical issue I encountered was the lack of regulatory oversight. The official information shows TD currently operates without any recognized financial regulation, which raises immediate concerns for me regarding transparency, especially around crucial details like leverage. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any clear or detailed disclosure from TD on specific leverage ratios for major forex pairs, nor how these might differ for other asset classes. This omission is significant from a risk management perspective. For me, understanding leverage limits is fundamental when assessing a broker, as these thresholds directly impact both potential returns and the risk of rapid losses. Regulated brokers typically publish leverage policies prominently as part of compliance requirements, but this is not the case here. Given the absence of both firm regulatory status and transparent information regarding leverage at TD, my approach would be extremely cautious. If a broker does not clearly communicate such essential trading conditions, I consider that a considerable red flag and would recommend seeking out comprehensive answers directly from their customer support before opening any account or assuming any conditions. For my trading, such lack of clarity on leverage and risk controls is a decisive factor not to proceed.
