In my experience as a forex trader, understanding total trading costs is absolutely essential before committing funds, especially on less transparent platforms. With AMTD, I found it very challenging to get a clear answer regarding the total trading costs for index products like the US100. There’s no transparent fee structure publicly available, and the scope of their business activities appears uncertain. This lack of clarity is concerning for me, as unclear or undisclosed fees can significantly impact trading profitability, particularly on leveraged products such as indices. WikiFX indicates that AMTD’s regulatory status with the Hong Kong SFC is currently unverified and flags the company with a high risk profile. My own trading practice requires brokers to provide detailed and upfront information regarding spreads, commissions, swap rates, and any hidden charges. In AMTD’s case, not only is the fee structure undefined, but there’s also a troubling field report suggesting no physical office presence at their published address. This raises further questions about accessibility and accountability for traders. Given the combination of unverified regulation, unclear fees, and poor transparency, I am unable to accurately clarify the total trading costs for the US100 or similar indices on this platform. From my perspective, this level of uncertainty is a substantial red flag. I would always recommend extreme caution and thorough due diligence before considering any trading activity with AMTD. For me, such ambiguity does not align with risk-conscious trading standards.
