Based on my personal review and careful evaluation of Instreet as a regulated broker in Australia, I find that their asset offering is quite different from typical forex and CFD brokers. Importantly, their tradable assets are limited to derivatives, options, indices, and ETFs. Forex, commodities (which would include instruments like Gold/XAUUSD and Crude Oil), stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrencies are not available for trading through Instreet. For a trader like me who sometimes seeks exposure to precious metals or energy commodities through products such as gold or crude oil CFDs, this restriction is a significant factor in decision making. Over the years, my experience has taught me that even with ASIC regulation and a decade-long operational history, it’s critical to fully understand not only what a broker offers, but also what is absent from their lineup. In Instreet’s case, while they provide some bespoke investment solutions and educational resources aimed at more sophisticated investors, the lack of direct forex and commodity trading options means it isn’t suitable for those who primarily want to speculate on assets like gold or oil. Therefore, if trading XAU/USD or crude oil is important to your strategy, Instreet would not be the appropriate venue, and you might need to consider other brokers with a broader array of asset classes. My approach always leans toward caution, and verifying traded instruments directly remains essential for my financial safety and trading objectives.
