Shikoku is an FSA-regulated Japanese firm with a long operational history and a transparent business model in most core areas. The broker clearly lists fees for common activities such as domestic stock and convertible bond trading, foreign stock transactions, securities deposits, and bank transfers. Yet, despite scouring their available fee schedules and customer impressions, I could not locate any direct mention of charges specifically tied to inactive accounts. In my experience, Japanese brokers regulated by the FSA tend to be upfront about service fees, especially those that might affect account holders over time, such as inactivity fees.
