From my experience and research into Kontakperkasa Futures, I found that their primary trading platform offering is TradingView, rather than the more widely used MetaTrader 4 or 5, which are standard for running Expert Advisors (EAs). EAs typically rely on the MT4/MT5 environment due to the MQL language specifically designed for trading automation. TradingView, on the other hand, supports Pine Script for custom indicators and limited automation, but it doesn’t natively allow for full-fledged automated trading with EAs in the same way as MetaTrader platforms. For me, this significantly limits my ability to deploy strategies that depend on pre-built or heavily customizable EAs. While some external bridging or API workarounds exist, these tend to introduce complexity and require a level of technical expertise—and, more importantly, may not always be supported by the broker’s infrastructure or policy. It’s also worth considering that regulatory standards in Indonesia and the broker’s own restrictions weren’t explicit about supporting automated strategies through EAs. Given this, I would approach Kontakperkasa Futures with caution if automated trading via EAs is a critical part of my trading plan. For discretionary trading or for using TradingView’s charting and scripting tools, the broker is adequate, but for robust hands-off automation, I personally would not consider it ideal. Always double-check with their support directly, as platform capabilities or policies can evolve.
