The National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) is a decentralized body of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), with technical autonomy and executive powers. Its purpose is to supervise and regulate in its field of competence the entities that constitute Mexico’s financial system (SFM), in order to protect its stability and proper function, as well as maintain and promote the sound and balanced development of said system as a whole, safeguarding the interests of the public.
