In my own experience assessing Shenwan Hongyuan’s trading options, I found that their main platform is called "e-service," which is accessible via desktop, mobile, and web. This is their proprietary trading solution. From all the information I reviewed, they do not support MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), or cTrader for individual traders. For me, the absence of industry-standard platforms like MT4 or MT5 was notable. These platforms are popular for their robust charting tools, algorithmic trading capabilities, and broad range of custom indicators. Relying instead on a self-developed system like e-service means that users should be prepared for a different user interface and potentially fewer customization options. I see this as particularly important for those active in automated or technical trading strategies who depend on third-party tools and EAs, as transitioning away from MT4/MT5 could impact workflow and strategy implementation. When evaluating a broker, the choice of platform is critical. Industry-wide solutions like MT4 or MT5 generally signal greater flexibility and user familiarity, while proprietary platforms can limit compatibility but might offer more direct integration with the broker’s services. For me, I approach such differences with caution, ensuring I fully test the tools available before committing significant capital, especially when familiar features and plugins may not be supported.
