From my experience researching brokers, I approach Maven with considerable caution, especially when seeking basic trading information like the typical spread for EUR/USD. On reviewing their available details, I could not find any transparent disclosure about their spreads, commissions, or even specific account types such as a standard trading account. This lack of clarity is, in itself, a significant red flag for me as someone who prioritizes reliability and openness in brokers. What amplifies my concern is Maven’s current regulatory posture. Although they previously held an FCA license, this license is now marked as "exceeded," meaning they currently operate without valid or recognized regulatory oversight. The brokerage is also flagged for high potential risk, and my review of their profile revealed explicit warnings regarding their regulatory status and overall transparency. For these reasons, I would be unable—and unwilling—to quote any typical spread for EUR/USD with Maven. In responsible trading, I value access to clear, up-to-date information and a concrete regulatory framework as prerequisites. Until Maven offers that level of transparency and obtains proper licensing, I personally would not consider trading with them or relying on any cost structures they might imply. My approach is always to favor brokers who clearly publish their trading conditions and are demonstrably compliant with respected regulatory bodies.
