Monex Europe formerly held a UK FCA payment license, but this has been revoked, and the broker is currently unregulated with high potential risk flags. Given this, my prudent first step before submitting any withdrawal request would be to clarify their exact document requirements through official support channels—usually via their provided email or contact number. In general, with brokers of this profile, I expect to be asked for proof of identity (such as a government-issued passport or ID card), proof of residence (often a recent utility bill or official bank statement), and in some cases, additional documentation that substantiates the legitimacy of the source of funds, especially for larger transactions or corporate clients. This is fairly standard practice in the industry, as it ties to international anti-money laundering (AML) regulations—even for brokers lacking active regulation. However, given Monex Europe’s current regulatory status, I remain cautious about supplying sensitive personal or financial documents without confirming secure communication channels and clear guidelines on their data handling. The absence of proper oversight means there’s less recourse if documents are mishandled. For me, this significantly impacts my trust, and I would only proceed after carefully weighing these factors and considering safer, regulated alternatives.
