My own practice is to assume that where commission transparency exists, spread competitiveness should be taken with caution and verified through live trading or checking client feedback, especially since market making activities can widen effective trading costs. In summary, while at first glance TradeStation’s fees might seem competitive—at least for U.S. residents trading certain assets—the larger, fine-print ecosystem of fees, especially for international or diversified traders, calls for careful due diligence. I always advise digging deep into fee schedules and modeling out your specific trade habits to understand the full cost of using any broker, TradeStation included.
