From my experience and after reviewing the available information about Rakuten Bank, I have not found any mention or clear disclosure regarding inactivity fees for forex or trading accounts. This absence of transparency is something I scrutinize carefully, especially because inactivity charges can unexpectedly diminish account balances if you step away from trading for a period. What stands out to me is that Rakuten Bank is not regulated by any recognized authority, according to public sources. This means there is no external oversight ensuring their fee structure aligns with industry norms or client protections, which elevates the importance of clarity on such matters. Personally, I am very cautious with brokers that have either ambiguous or missing information about critical aspects like account fees. Even a long operational history and the bank’s large customer base do not offset my concerns when there is no clear regulatory framework or transparent statement about inactivity charges. For me, unless Rakuten Bank can provide written confirmation—directly in English and with full detail on their fee policy—I would be wary about leaving funds dormant in their accounts. In my view, it’s always best to contact customer support directly (preferably in writing) for explicit information before committing, especially with an unregulated broker.
