From my personal experience and after reviewing CurrencyFair’s official setup, instant withdrawals do not appear to be available. All transfers, whether for sending or receiving funds, are processed via traditional bank transfers such as SEPA, Faster Payments, or CHAPS, depending on the currency. In my own use, transfers into or out of CurrencyFair have typically taken between one and two business days, although I’ve occasionally seen some GBP payments clear within a single business day. However, there has been no sign of a true “instant” withdrawal option. This means that as a trader or someone needing rapid liquidity, you should set expectations accordingly—fund transfers are generally reliable but not immediate. The reason for this delay lies largely in interbank settlement times and CurrencyFair’s reliance on intermediary banks. While the platform’s regulation under ASIC and its long operational history give some reassurance, the absence of instant withdrawal methods could be a limitation if you require funds to be available without delay. For me, this is a crucial detail, especially when timing is critical in the forex markets or for business payments. Always factor in these processing times for your risk management and operational planning.
