From my perspective as a trader with years of experience navigating various brokerage platforms, TradeStation does not natively support the use of MetaTrader-based Expert Advisors (EAs), as it doesn't offer the industry-standard MT4 or MT5 platforms. Instead, TradeStation is built around its own proprietary platforms—Desktop, Web, and Mobile—and their custom scripting language, EasyLanguage. This language is specifically designed for strategy development, backtesting, and automation within the TradeStation ecosystem. While I have seen traders automate their strategies on TradeStation using EasyLanguage, it's important to recognize that importing or running traditional EAs, particularly those written for MetaTrader, simply isn't possible here. Instead, traders must code strategies or indicators using TradeStation’s technologies. For someone accustomed to EAs, this could be a significant limitation, especially if you have a library of MetaTrader scripts. The reason behind this is rooted in platform architecture and security. By requiring automation to be written in EasyLanguage, TradeStation maintains tight integration and oversight, possibly reducing some operational risks but also making it less flexible for those who rely on third-party or premade EAs. Before committing, I strongly recommend carefully considering whether you are comfortable with this environment or willing to develop and test your own strategies within TradeStation’s framework. For anyone seeking seamless EA compatibility, a different broker with MT4/MT5 support might be more suitable.
