Based on my careful review of CMB’s available information, I have not found any mention of a swap-free or Islamic account option. From my experience as a trader, this is a critical detail for anyone with religious constraints regarding interest (riba), and I always try to verify it before I consider opening an account. CMB appears to focus its services on stocks, options, and futures trading under the regulation of the Hong Kong SFC, with various trading platforms and a well-established corporate profile. However, it does not advertise or disclose any features or accommodations typical of Islamic accounts, such as exemption from overnight interest charges. For me, the absence of clear information about Shariah-compliant account types gives me pause. In this industry, transparency and explicit disclosure about account structures are essential to trustworthiness, especially for something as important as religious observance. While CMB does have regulatory credentials and provides detailed fee structures for conventional trading, the lack of an Islamic account could be a limitation for traders who require this option for faith-based reasons. Until the broker states otherwise, I must assume that swap-free or Islamic account types are not supported at CMB. This is why, in my approach, I would recommend seeking direct clarification from the broker if this feature is a must-have for your trading needs.
