Fidelity, as regulated by the SFC in Hong Kong and with a presence in Japan, maintains transparent fee schedules—primarily focusing on a tiered structure for investment-related charges such as sales and switching fees, influenced by the size of the invested balance. Importantly, their documentation stresses that there are no additional account-related charges for standard deposits or withdrawals, aside from possible bank or intermediary charges. From a risk management perspective, I’m always watchful for hidden costs like inactivity fees, especially because they can erode capital over time if not properly anticipated. In this case, my due diligence in reviewing the publicly disclosed fee structures shows that Fidelity appears to avoid such penalties for inactive accounts. However, since policies can evolve and sometimes details are found in specific account agreements rather than general overviews, I strongly advise contacting their customer support directly if inactivity is a concern for your investment plans. For me, clarity on every potential cost is critical before any capital commitment, and I would not assume the absence of fees without written confirmation.
