Based on my thorough review of Hydro, I could not find any clear details about their spread structure, neither fixed nor variable. The absence of transparent information about spreads is a serious point of concern for me, especially as someone who weighs trading costs very carefully. In the forex industry, it’s typical for regulated brokers to provide specifics about their spreads—sometimes even publishing historical data to show how costs change during news events or volatile conditions. Hydro simply doesn’t provide this level of disclosure. This lack of clarity raises red flags for me for several reasons. First, I rely on knowing whether spreads are fixed or variable to plan my risk management. More importantly, during high-impact news events, spreads can widen dramatically, sometimes causing unexpected losses or slippage for traders who aren’t prepared. Without any guidance on Hydro’s practices during these times, I have no way to properly account for or mitigate these risks. Given that Hydro also has no valid regulatory oversight and is marked as high risk, this lack of basic trading information further diminishes my confidence. For me, transparency about trading costs is non-negotiable. Until Hydro publishes clear, reliable details about their spreads and how they behave during market volatility, I would not feel comfortable trading or recommending their platform to others.
