In my experience trading with First State Futures, I found that they support the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform, but they do not currently offer access to MT5 or cTrader. MT4 is widely regarded for its versatility, reliability, and ease of use, making it a practical choice for both new and more experienced traders. What stood out to me is that First State Futures holds a full MT4 license, which generally means a more stable trading environment and established technical support, something I always look for before committing funds. Additionally, they offer JAFeTS NOW, an electronic-based trading platform. This platform supports both single and multilateral commodity trading, which can be useful for traders interested in diverse markets beyond just forex. However, as someone who relies heavily on advanced charting and algorithmic trading, I personally lean towards MT4 for most of my strategies. It is important to note that MT5 and cTrader, which some traders may prefer for features like multi-asset support or more advanced order types, are not available here. In my opinion, anyone prioritizing these platforms might find First State Futures somewhat limiting. For those satisfied with MT4 and JAFeTS NOW, however, the options are sufficiently robust for standard trading operations.
