As an experienced trader, I've learned the importance of clarity regarding trading conditions—especially spreads—before committing funds. With Fidelity, however, I couldn't find any information about typical spreads for EUR/USD, or indeed any forex pairs, on their standard accounts. After carefully reviewing their available details, I see that Fidelity is not actually a traditional forex broker. Their platform does not provide trading in spot FX or CFDs, but rather focuses on mutual funds, MPF/ORSO retirement schemes, and diversified investment solutions. This means that, for me, the usual considerations like bid-ask spreads associated with major currency pairs do not apply here. Fidelity is regulated by the SFC in Hong Kong and carries a long operational history, which points to its legitimacy and emphasis on investment products and retirement solutions rather than short-term FX trading. For traders interested specifically in forex, especially seeking transparent information about spreads for pairs like EUR/USD, Fidelity does not appear to be a suitable option. It’s critical not to conflate their investment services with those of dedicated forex brokers, as the underlying instruments, risks, and fee structures are very different.
