From my own experience and thorough research into TD, I found that TD provides its own proprietary trading app known as the TD App, which is available for both Apple and Android devices. This platform focuses on delivering a unified interface for TD’s personal banking and investing services. While the TD App does support online investing and trading, it does not include popular third-party forex and CFD trading platforms such as MT4, MT5, or cTrader. For me, the absence of established platforms like MT4 or MT5 is a significant limitation because these platforms are widely trusted by retail forex traders for their reliability, advanced charting, and extensive third-party tool support. Proprietary platforms can sometimes offer unique features tailored to a broker's ecosystem, but they often lack the deep functionality and flexibility experienced traders expect from industry-standard platforms. When I assess a broker, especially for forex trading, platform selection is pivotal to both my workflow and risk management. The lack of MT4, MT5, or cTrader means missing out on advanced technical analysis tools and algorithmic trading options. Coupled with TD’s unregulated status, this further amplifies my caution, and I personally would be very wary of trading with them until these crucial gaps are addressed.
