IQ Option Review: Regulation Warnings, Broker Complaints, and Withdrawal Blocks
Abstract:IQ Option carries a regulated CySEC record, but our investigation found serious warning signals: Malaysia listed an unauthorized activity alert, Singapore placed the name on an investor alert list, and users report repeated withdrawal rejection, profit withholding, and account access blocks.

A trader in Bangladesh says he deposited only $20, traded successfully, and grew the balance to $236.34. Then the withdrawal requests were repeatedly declined, the initial $20 was returned, the remaining profit of about $212 was blocked, and the trading account was disabled.
That is the center of this IQ Option review. Not marketing. Not slogans. A trader says he won, asked to withdraw, and was pushed into a wall of vague “Terms & Conditions” language without specific trade logs or evidence.
The pattern does not stop there. From Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Argentina, the United States, and Chile, 2026 complaints describe rejected withdrawals, missing card payouts, delayed funds, blocked gains, and support replies that users say do not solve the problem.
Regulation Reality Audit: IQ Option Broker Records Under Pressure
Regulation matters most when a trader asks for money back. On paper, IQ Option has a CySEC-regulated entity record under IQOption Europe Ltd, License No. 247/14. But the same broker name also appears in regulator warning and alert records from Malaysia and Singapore.
That split is the danger. A regulated record in one jurisdiction does not erase warning records in another. Retail traders must look at the whole picture before trusting any Forex or online trading broker with deposits.
| Regulator | License Type | REAL STATUS |
|---|---|---|
| Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) | Financial institution supervision, License No. 247/14, IQOption Europe Ltd | Regulated |
| Securities Commission Malaysia (SCM) | Investor Alert / securities dealing capital market activity | Unauthorized |
| Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) | Investor Alert List record | Warning: may be or may be mistaken as licensed/authorized/regulated |
Our investigation also found that IQ Options own broker profile carries a WikiFX score of 5.46 and shows 106 user complaints received in the past three months. That volume is not a minor customer-service hiccup. It is a risk signal.
Withdrawal Complaints Dominate This IQ Option Review
The most repeated allegation is simple: users say they cannot get their money out.
A Dominican Republic user said they spent around two weeks trying to withdraw, starting with 1,400, while support allegedly repeated meaningless replies after documents had already been sent through email, app chat, Telegram groups, Facebook, and Instagram.
A Nicaragua user said a $50 investment was followed by an approved withdrawal request and approved bank card, yet the money still had not arrived after 20 days. A Colombia user reported several small withdrawals of $10, $15, and $30 that did not reach the account, while some withdrawals were not approved at all.
A United States-based complaint said the account was verified and documents had been accepted, but when a larger profit withdrawal was attempted, requests were rejected again and again. The user claimed only the original $100 deposit was being allowed back while $998 in gains could not be withdrawn.
This is why withdrawal behavior is the central issue. A trading app can look smooth. A broker can have strong market visibility. But if traders repeatedly say exits are blocked, the platform becomes a high-risk trap.
Visual Evidence: 2026 Case Material
One current-year complaint included supporting visual material tied to the Bangladesh report about blocked profit and a disabled account.
The user says he has already filed a formal complaint with the Financial Ombudsman of Cyprus. We cannot verify the final outcome from the provided material, but the complaint itself is precise: deposit made through Skrill, balance grew through trading, withdrawal declined, only deposit returned, profit withheld, and account disabled.
That level of detail matters. It turns a general grievance into a specific allegation that deserves close scrutiny.
IQ Option Login and Account Access Issues Exposed
Login and account access problems appear in multiple complaints, so this risk cannot be ignored.
One 2026 complaint says the trading account was disabled after withdrawal pressure. A 2025 Bolivia complaint says the user could not deposit or withdraw after generating a small gain, and that all withdrawal options were blocked. Another user from Colombia said the platform would not allow entry because it showed an “incorrect account type” even though the user believed the account was correct.
Other access-related complaints describe blocked accounts, disabled support options, or loss of communication after verification requests. A Brazil complaint from 2024 said the account had been blocked for 10 months and support did not provide a clear reason. Another Brazil complaint said there was no access to the account.
For mobile-first traders, login access is survival. If a broker controls the trading screen, the withdrawal screen, and the support channel, losing access can mean losing every practical route to recover funds.
Bonus Terms, Verification Loops, and Profit Withholding
Several complaints point to a second pattern: bonus rules and verification demands becoming barriers when users try to withdraw gains.
A 2026 United States complaint says the user used a new-account bonus and had multiple accounts, then the account was blocked when attempting to withdraw a larger amount. A 2025 Pakistan complaint says a $55 deposit and bonus were followed by completed turnover, a $1,593 balance, withdrawal refusal, account termination, and only the $55 deposit offered back.

A 2025 Bangladesh complaint says the user deposited $187, received a 200% bonus, traded for a month, and saw a real balance of $336 excluding bonus. After canceling the bonus, the user says the full balance was set to zero.

A Dominican Republic user described a similar bonus cancellation event: after depositing $16, receiving a $17.60 bonus, and reaching $68.39, the user canceled the bonus expecting only the bonus to be deducted. Instead, the complaint says the account went to zero and support did not provide a clear answer.
These are not isolated themes. They create a traders nightmare: win first, explain later, wait longer, receive less.
Key Red Flags for Forex Traders
- Malaysia regulator record lists IQ Option-related activity as unauthorized for securities dealing capital market activity.
- Singapore MAS investor alert record warns the name may be or may be mistaken as licensed, authorized, or regulated.
- Users repeatedly report rejected, delayed, missing, or canceled withdrawals across multiple countries.
- Several complaints allege blocked accounts, disabled trading, blocked support routes, or unresolved login access problems after withdrawal attempts.
Is IQ Option Broker Safe for Retail Traders?
The answer is not comfortable. IQ Option has a CySEC-regulated record, a long operating history since 2014, mobile apps, and large international visibility. But that is only one side of the file.
The other side is much harsher: regulator alerts, a mid-level WikiFX score, heavy complaint volume, and repeated user claims that profits were withheld while deposits were returned or withdrawals were rejected. In the Forex and online trading world, that combination demands extreme caution.
If you are considering this broker, do not focus only on how easy it is to deposit. Focus on the exit. Ask whether your withdrawal method is proven, whether bonus terms can affect real funds, whether the entity serving you is the regulated one, and whether your country has issued warnings.
The verdict from our investigation is clear: IQ Option may present a polished mobile trading experience, but the complaint record shows serious stress at the point that matters most — getting money back. For retail traders, that is the risk that cannot be ignored.
