Inspection Reason

The inspection team continued its field survey campaign as part of the efforts to check thecompliance and integrity condition within the forex brokerage industry. For this session, the inspection team went to Australia to visit TOKIN.

Office

According to the address shown in its regulation details, the Australian broker TOKIN has its head office at Suite 01’ Level 11, 219-227 Elizabeth Street. The survey staff went there for a on-site check. According to the address, the surveyors successfully found this office building of some classical taste.

As soon as the survey staff entered the building, they took an elevator to the 11th Floor. However, they did not find TOKIN’s name on a directory sign in the corridor, but found another securities broker - PROBIS.

To double check, the surveyors still took a walk around searching for the target, but still got no clue. Instead, they found a few vacant offices.

Conclusion

A field survey based on the address indicated in its regulation details did not find TOKIN’s office in Australia. The broker claims to hold a full license from the ASIC (No. 338241), yet we suspect the authenticity of such claim.
