Reasons for Field Survey

Turkey's foreign exchange market is highly active, with no foreign exchange controls. Residents can freely hold foreign currency and remit funds in and out without restrictions. In recent years, investor interest in Turkish forex trading has grown, attracting numerous international financial institutions. To help investors accurately understand the actual performance of brokers in the region and mitigate the risks associated with information bias, the field research team conducted a field visit to Turkey.

Field Survey Process

This issue's field research team conducted a planned on-site visit to the forex broker Şeker Yatırım in Turkey. Publicly available information lists its office address as Büyükdere Cad. No. 171, Metrocity A Blok Kat: 4-5 Esentepe / Şişli / İstanbul.

Upholding the responsibility of rigorous verification for investors, the professional field research team conducted an on-site visit to Şeker Yatırım, based on the previously disclosed address, in accordance with established plans to establish the broker's true business operations.

The field research team traveled to the Esentepe area of Şeker Yatırım, located in the Şisli district of Istanbul, Turkey, and conducted an on-site verification of the broker's location, which is stated to be Büyükdere Cad. No. 171, Metrocity A Blok Kat: 4-5 Esentepe / Şişli / İstanbul. Upon arrival at the address, the surveyors confirmed that the office was located within the Metrocity commercial complex, a typical shopping mall + office building complex. Located in Istanbul's bustling business district, it boasts a dense flow of people and a vibrant commercial atmosphere. They were able to successfully capture panoramic photos of the complex. On the building's exterior, the surveyors clearly saw the company name Şeker Yatırım, clearly confirming its connection to the building.

After entering the complex, the surveyors discovered that they had to go to the basement level to find the entrance to the office area (separate from the shopping mall). Upon reaching the basement lobby, a prominent company sign clearly indicated the company's occupancy as Şeker Yatırım and corresponding Building A, Floors 4-5, which was identical to the publicly available address.

 After explaining their purpose for the inspection to the office receptionist, they were assured that Şeker Yatırım is indeed located on floors 4-5 of Building A. However, access to the office floors requires a prior appointment with the company, and floor access is not granted without an appointment. However, the inspectors were able to photograph the front desk sign with the Şeker Yatırım logo in the lobby, further confirming the company's presence.

Due to the lack of a prior appointment, the inspectors were unable to access floors 4-5 or the company interior, and were unable to confirm the specific office layout. Furthermore, due to access restrictions, they were unable to verify the company's internal office environment, the number of rooms, and the number of workstations. However, based on the building's exterior name, the signage in the basement office area, confirmation from the front desk, and the dedicated front desk logo, it is clear that the office space is Şeker Yatırım's exclusive space, not a shared office. 

Based on on-site verification, Şeker Yatırım's presence was confirmed through multiple factors, including exterior wall signage, signage, and the front desk, confirming its authenticity.

Thus, the on-site inspection confirmed that Şeker Yatırım existed at the aforementioned address and had a legitimate office and business location.

Field Survey Summary

The surveyors visited Şeker Yatırım as planned and observed the broker's company name displayed prominently at the publicly shown business address, indicating the physical presence of the broker's business. Investors are advised to take all factors into consideration before making a decision.
