Reason for this visit

Cambodia also relies on open policies, sustained economic growth, rapid expansion of domestic production capacity, and continuous improvement of national infrastructure and financial investment regulations, all of which are conducive to its growth as the next "financial center." Recently, investors have called to ask for more exposure of Cambodian licensees whose actual addresses are inconsistent with the regulatory addresses. Based on the feedback from investors and the work plan of the survey team, the survey staff are going to visit J T Capital, a licensed dealer in Cambodia, to learn more about the actual situation.

On-site visit

Regulatory information shows that the address of the licensed company of J T Capital in Cambodia is Title No. 724, Unit 33A, Phum 10, Preah Norodom Blvd, Tonle Basak, Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh. The investigators conducted a field visit to this location.

The building where the office is located can be found near a residential area in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. There was only a tall building nearby. The dealer was not found in the building, and there was no office area nearby. What could be seen were shops along the street, residential areas and an international school. The investigator supposed that the dealer disclosed the business address incorrectly.

Conclusion

The investigators went to Cambodia to visit the dealer J T Capital as planned. The dealer’s logo was not found on its publicly displayed business address. The dealer might not have an office operating normally at the business address. Investors are asked to make a sensible choice after careful consideration.
